There are two types of NTRR user accounts – a Contributing Investigator Account and a Recipient Investigator Account. Read below to learn more about each account type.

  • Download the NTRR Data Sharing Policies for further information (when you click on the link, the document should go straight to your computer's downloads folder).
  • When you are ready, select the Log In tab in the main menu, above, and follow the instructions to either log in with RAS or create a Login.gov account to get started. FITBIR and NTRR use the same system.

CONTRIBUTING INVESTIGATOR USER ACCOUNT:

For investigators seeking to upload data from their published studies.

Please provide the following (you will be asked to upload these once you Log In with your Login.gov account):

  • Data Submission Request Form
  • Biographical Sketch or CV 
  • Study Materials 

The NTRR Data Use Committee will review the application of each investigator and grant access based on the professional experience of the researcher, affiliation with a research institution, and the scientific merit of the request. It is anticipated that most requests will be appropriate and can be approved rapidly.

 

RECIPIENT INVESTIGATOR USER ACCOUNT:

For investigators seeking access to NTRR data, with or without an approved assurance from the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Human Research Protections. 

Please provide the following documentation (you will be asked to upload these once you Log In with your Login.gov account):

  • Biographical Sketch or CV
  • Institutional review board approval
  • Data Access Request Form
  • Signed Data Use Certification
  • Brief description of the proposed research use of the requested data
